Anand Mahindra took a dig at East India Company

Mumbai, 10/2: The East India Company once ruled India. But, history reversed and now its command is in Indian hands. On this, Anand Mahindra, chairman of Mahindra Group, got excited and said that he is very happy to contribute in turning the history of India. Anand Mahindra’s company had bought a small stake in the East India Company about a decade ago.

 

Actually, Anand Mahindra was replying to a viral Twitter thread about the East India Company that once ruled India and which became synonymous with British colonialism. Time turned and it was bought by Indian-origin businessman Sanjeev Mehta decades after independence. Mahindra Group later bought a small stake in this company. Anand Mahindra says that it was encouraging to see the East India Company in Indian hands.
