CM Naveen interacted with Odia students returning from Ukraine

Bhubaneswar, 28/2: Today, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik  and spoke to Odia students who returned from Ukraine in New Delhi online. The Chief Minister hoped that every effort would be made to return the students who remained in Ukraine to welcome the students. The Chief Minister said that he had discussed the return of Odia students with the Union Home Minister and the Foreign Minister and that he would again discuss the matter and take action.

 

He told the students that they had all crossed the Romanian border to Bucharest with Indian officials and had flown to New Delhi from there. They said the New Delhi-based resident commission had always been in touch with them online. There are many Oriya students in other parts of Ukraine, especially in Kharkiv, and they have demanded that steps be taken to bring them back.

 

The Chief Minister has ordered the opening of a help desk at the Mumbai airport for the convenience of children returning from Ukraine.

The Chief Minister also directed the children to arrive in Bhubaneswar or later to reach their homes by OTDC bus.

Chief Secretary Suresh Mohapatra and Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Jena were present during the meeting.
