Private Medical College to charge government fees for 50 percent seats: PM Modi

New Delhi, 7/3: On Monday, the central government has given a big relief to the students studying medicine. Now 50 percent seats of private medical college will attract the same fees as government colleges. PM Narendra Modi announced this. After this decision of the government, lakhs of medical students and parents in the country have got a big relief and happiness.

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted on Monday that a few days ago the government took a big decision, which would benefit the poor and middle class children. We have decided that half the seats in private medical colleges will attract the same fees as government medical colleges. PM Modi announced this on the occasion of Janaushadhi Diwas.

For the last several months, there was an uproar over medical fees. Parents and students were constantly demanding to reduce the fees of the medical college. There was a possibility that the government could take some big step in this regard.

 

PM Modi said that the Government of India is taking steps to strengthen the health sector keeping the future in mind. He said that for decades after independence, there was only one AIIMS in the whole country but today there are 22 AIIMS due to the strong intentions of the government.
