Indian army snips to get Sako TRG-42 (Sako TRG 42 Rifle),

New Delhi, 28/3: The Indian Army has equipped its sniper deployed on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir with the sophisticated Finnish-made rifle Sako TRG-42 (Sako TRG 42 Rifle), which can hit an effective target up to one and a half kilometres. The officers provided this information. A senior official told PTI, “A modern sniper rifle is being inducted into the Indian Army, which is named Sako .338 TRG-42.”

 

The official said that the range, firepower and binocular viewing capability of the Saco .338 TRG-42 are very good as compared to the rifles held by the opposing army. He said that the snipers posted on the LoC are being trained according to the new rifle.
