Bhubaneswar, . Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium organized the yoga camp on the occasion of World Yoga Day in association with AMRI Hospital and Bhakti Vedanta Institute. A large number of officers, employees and members of Vedanta Aluminium, AMRI Hospital and Bhakti Vedanta Institute participated in the yoga practice programme organized at AMRI Hospital premises. In addition to this, Vedanta Aluminium also organized yoga camps at the plant premises at Lanjigarh and Jharsuguda in which members of the Vedanta family actively participated.
In the practice session, the participants accomplished various yoga asanas, pranayama etc. under the guidance of a yoga teacher Shri Abhishek. Swami Jitun Dhal and Swami Achyuta Keshav Das, Directors of Bhakti Vedanta institute, praised the program organized in association with Vedanta Aluminium. They said that yoga is vital for physical health as well as mental and spiritual progress. They also pronounced that Yoga is one of the six branches of the Vedas through which we can take our life to the pinnacle of all-round development. Ms. Niranjana Chakraborty, Director, AMRI Hospital, while describing the initiative of Vedanta Aluminium as excellent, expressed confidence that her organization will look forward tocollaboratewith Vedanta Aluminium in various community development programs.Dr Tapan Kumar Chand, President, Business Development and Strategy, Vedanta Aluminium said that Yoga is an integral part of Indian philosophy.
