Bhubaneswar, : A group of engineering students from SOA paraded not only the knowledge acquired by them but also their mesmerizing talent in varied areas before a select audience of recruiters from 45 blue chip companies at Bengaluru recently.
Sixtytwo invitees drawn from HR and Talent Acquisition departments of the companies, who attended the program ‘SOA Proxima 2022’, were thrilled not only by the knowledge of the students involving the world of technology but also by their performance which transcended the varied field of art and culture.
The SOA team was headed by Pro-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Amit Banerjee, Dean (Students’ Welfare), Prof. Jyoti Ranjan Das and Head, Industry Engagement, Mr. Ripti Ranjan Dash. The students represented the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), SOA’s faculty of engineering and technology.
While a typical Odissi presentation by Ms. Smruti Pragyan Biswal, Ms. Anisha Swain and Ms. Priyadarshini Parida provided a glimpse into Odisha’s traditional danceform, Ms. Aishi Aich regaled the audience with an outstanding Bharat Natyam performance. Mr. Bhabesh Mishra’s mesmerizing magical tricks too impressed the audience.
The entire event facilitated a peek into SOA’s rich talent pool as the students excelled not only in their acquired knowledge about engineering and technology but also in extra-curricular activities
