Ranpur, 18/02: On the occasion of the Holy Jagar Yatra and Mahashivratri, the temples of various Mahadevs in Ranpur block of Nayagarh district are vibrating with the sound of Har Har Mahadev. The festival is celebrated with great joy. Mahadev temples are very attractively decorated with colorful electric lights and flowers.
Mahashivratri was not celebrated publicly for the past two years due to the corona virus restrictions, but this year, this holy festival is being celebrated with dhum dham in the presence of thousands of devotees and devotees. Thousands of devotees and devotees thronged Ranpur Swalameshwar Peeth, Chandeshwar Peeth, Balunkeshwar Peeth, Ludagabasant Balunkeshwar Dev Peeth, Jainkot Balunkeshwar Peeth to light the Jagar lamp.
It has been informed by the Temple worshipper that the Mahadeep will be lit in the temple at 4 o’clock in the morning. Similarly Jagar Yatra has been nurtured in Dhumdham in all Shaiva Peeths under Ranpur Block. Along with this, Sankirtan and various cultural functions are also seen being performed in the temple premises.
