Darlipali : NTPC Darlipali Super Thermal Power Station observed National Safety Week through a week-long campaign to raise awareness among employees and business partnerson the importance of adhering to safety measures. Sh. UmakantaSamantray,Assistant Director of Factories Boiler,Rourkela Zone-III,Govt. of Odisha graced as chief guest on the closing ceremony of National Safety Week observance, on 21st March 2023.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest, ShriSamantray highlighted the importance of safety functions for reinforcing the positive behaviour at Workplace. He emphasized on preparation and use of quality SOPs and involvement of competent work force to mitigate risk at the Workplace.
Shri H N Chakraborty, GM (O&M) emphasized the need for all contract workers to remain alert and urged to adopt behavioral based safety to improve safety culture.
Reiterating upon the importance of safety at NTPC Darlipali workplace, a safety mock drill was also performed in the presence of senior officials and Assistant Director of Factories Boiler, Rourkela Zone-III, Govt. of Odisha.
During the safetyweek different safety promotional activities like first aid on firefighting training, first aid training, essay competition, slogan competition,drawing competition for school children, safety quiz competitionwas organized.
Shri T K Bageshwar, GM (TS), Shri Arnab Maitra, GM (FM), Shri Vishal Mathur, GM (Project), all HODs, representative from executive association, CISF Fire & Security wing officers, Project Manager of different contract agencies, school children, and contract workers were present during the event.
