Chilka, 13/7: A gruesome murder has allegedly taken place in Banpur police station area on Wednesday midnight . The dead body of an unknown woman was found lying on a roadside garbage dump near Galua chowk this morning.
However, due to the deep wound on her neck, it was assumed that someone had beaten her to death.While an investigation was started by the police , CCTV footages from the nearby areas were examined. In the footage, the woman was seen being attacked from behind by the assailant.
The woman was eating some food from the garbage at around 1.19 am when the assailant was seen attacking her from behind with a sword. However, many questions have been raised as to why the woman was killed when she appeared to be mentally disturbed.The police have taken it seriously and have intensifies investigation. Balugaon SDPO and Banpur IIC and team reached the spot and continued the investigation.
