Bangalore, 22/8: A day after Karnataka announced its decision to form a panel to scrap the National Education Policy (NEP) drafted by the central government, Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday posed a set of eight questions to Karnataka
Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar seeking to know if the Congress government in the state is opposed to “education in Kannada and other Bhartiya bhasha.”
In a video statement, Pradhan said that Shivakumar’s statement to scrap NEP is “regressive” and “mischievous”. “The NEP is a visionary, philosophical document envisioned by the educationists of this country; this is not a political document.
