New Delhi, 4/9: Eight national parties together held assets worth Rs 8,829.15 crore in 2021-22, an increase of 20.98 per cent from the previous fiscal, with BJP grabbing the highest of Rs 6,046.81 crore or 69 per cent of the total, according to a report by the ADR.
The analysis by ADR showed that the assets of eight national parties in 2021-22 touched Rs 8,829.15 crore from Rs 7,297.61 crore in 2020-22. “The assets declared by the National Parties during FY 2004-05 equalled to Rs 431.33 crore which increased to Rs 8829.158 crore during FY 2021-22,” ADR said. BJP’s assets grew by 21.17 per cent from Rs 4,990.19 crore in 2021-22 while the main Opposition party Congress was way behind at Rs 805.68 crore, a growth of 16.58 per cent from Rs 691.11 crore.
