Kashmir, 27/10: In a major development, 1991-batch Senior IPS officer Shri Rashmi Ranjan Swain has been appointed as the Director General of Police (DGP) of J&K.
Shri Swain, who hails from Rourkela in Odisha, served as SSP of Srinagar, Jammu, Ramban, Poonch, and Leh when terrorism was at its peak in the valley.
He is currently serving as the J&K intelligence Chief. He is known for his honesty and dedication.
