Subarnapur, 14/11: An accident took place in the village of Kainful under the Sonepur block of Subarnapur district. An old woman died after falling into an open deep bore well. The dead woman was Dukhi Negi (70) of Gobindapur village. According to the information, the deceased had come to Kasurpali village near Kainful village of Mayurudan Panchayat last 2 months. However, at around 8 o’clock yesterday morning, the old woman went to Bena collect to make jhadu to a bill in Kainful village and did not return. After searching for him for a long time, the family members found him lying with a beard and hair near a borewell. On getting the news this morning, immediately with the help of Sonepur BDO Soumya Ranjan Swain and block administration, police, fire department and ODRAF team, oxygen was first given and the old woman was rescued after 3 hours and brought to Subarnapur district head quarter hospital in critical condition. However, he was declared dead in the hospital. However, when such a rare incident became a topic of discussion in the area, after getting the news of the incident, Health Minister Niranjan Pujari and Subarnapur Supdt. Of Police Mr. Amaresh Panda reached the scene and after discussing with the family, the administration, the person recently provided financial assistance. The police have started an investigation into the incident while it was seen that they were present and monitoring all the activities. 10,000 rupees were initially given to the said family, 10,000 from the District Red Cross Fund and immediate file processing has been started from the block and district administrations for financial assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund( CMRF ). It is to be revealed that this is the first incident in Odisha where such a person died after falling into a deep tubewell.
