Bangalore, 22/12: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday announced that his government would withdraw the ban on hijab in the state.
Earlier, the Karnataka government had banned wearing the hijab in educational institutions. The Karnataka HC upheld the government’s decision in March 2022 after petitions were filed against the same.
