Patna, 29/12: Lalan Singh on Friday resigned as the Janata Dal (United) President, following the party’s national executive meeting in Delhi. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has reportedly been elected as the new party chief.
JD(U) leader K C Tyagi initially said Kumar has been elected as the new party chief, he later said “neither me nor anyone else is authorised to make any announcement before 5 pm.
