JHARSUGUDA, April 01: The vibrant tapestry of Odisha’s cultural heritage took center stage at the district-level Odisha Day ceremony, as community leaders and dignitaries rallied for the preservation of the state’s linguistic and cultural distinctiveness.
Embracing Odisha’s transformative journey from adversity to prosperity, speakers at the local district cultural bhawan underscored the paramount importance of safeguarding the state’s unique language, traditions, and identity. Additional District Collector Brajbandhu Bhoi led the charge, emphasizing the collective responsibility in upholding Odisha’s “Asmita” (pride).
Joined by dignitaries including Additional District Collector (Revenue) Kishore Chandra Swain and Deputy District Collector Sabyasachi Panda, the event, organized jointly by the District Administration and the Odisha Language and Culture Protection Council, resonated with calls for cultural preservation.
Community leaders, such as senior citizens president Balgobind Mishra and Journalist Mehboob Mehatab, lent their voices to the cause, while District Information and Public Relations Officer Ajay Jena presided over the proceedings.
