NTPC Darlipali Organises Inaugural Function for the ITI Course at CIPET Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, 19/4: Encouraging skill-based education, inaugural function for candidates pursuing a two-year full time ITI course was organised on 18.04.2024 at CIPET, Bhubaneswar. Through this program, the selected beneficiaries from project affected villages are sponsored by NTPC Darlipali, who pursue the courses in electrician and fitter trades with complete residential facilities.

 

Shri H.N. Chakrabarty, Head of Project, NTPC Darlipali, Smt. Pratibha Singh, AGM (HR), NTPC Darlipali, Shri Bhanja Prasad Patro, Director-CIPET, Mancheswar Unit and other senior officials from NTPC & CIPET, Bhubaneswar remained present during the function.

 

Encouraging the young talented students, Shri Chakrabarty said “NTPC Darlipali not only produces power but also empowers the youth in the project vicinity villages. These sort of skill development measures will make them self-reliant and empower them to better capitalize on the future opportunities”.

 

Shri Bhanja Prasad Patro, Director-CIPET, Mancheswar Unit expressed gratitude towards NTPC for their contribution towards the future of the students coming from the underprivileged sections of the society and for aligning them with the technical fields.

 

The ITI Course program will strengthen the capacity of young minds residing in the nearby villages of NTPC Darlipali and will equip them with the skill set making them a major driving force for technology, innovation and economic development. The program will also instill self-belief among the youth through sustainable employment opportunities.

 

This is the fourth batch of students (20 in number) being sponsored by NTPC Darlipali. A total of 69 candidates have so far been sponsored for pursuing ITI Course at CIPET Bhubaneswar. Most of the candidates from previous batches are suitably placed in reputed companies.
