Paradeep : World Environment Day 2024 was observed at Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative
Ltd. (IFFCO) Paradeep on dated 05.06.2024 in its premises. Every year the World
Environment Day is being celebrated in the universe and all the Govt. Officials,
Corporates, Industries jointly celebrate globally. The World Environment Day
celebration encourage awareness and action for the protection of our environment.
This year marks the 51 st anniversary of World Environment Day, which will focus on
“Land restoration, desertification and drought resilience”, using the hashtag and
slogan “Our Land. Our Future. We are “Generation restoration”. World Environment
Day 2024 is hosted by The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
On this occasion, a plantation drive was organised in the premises with Chief Guest
Esteemed Environmentalist Padmashree Dukhu Majhi, Shri K.J.Patel Director
IFFCO Paradeep Unit, Shri Puskar Chandra Behera ,Regional Officer, State
Pollution Control Board, Shri Dibyalochan Mohapatra Dy. Environment Scientist
Odisha State Pollution Control Board Paradeep Zone, Sh K.Mohan Rao,JGM(P&A)
Shri R.K.Swain Jt. General Manager (Fire & Safety) were planted on this occasion
to develop & create an eco- friendly green belt. Among others ,all JGMs, DGMs, Sr.
Officers, Shri Debasis Mohanty,President, Sh Subhashism Mishra,General
Secretary, IFFCO Officer’s Association, Sh Tusara Ranjan Samantaray, President,
Sh Rakesh Ojha, General Secretary, IFFCO Employee’s Association, Sh Bijaya
Kumar Parida,Chief Manager(HR), Sh Debabrat Patnaik(Admn.) ,Shri Prasanna
Beura, Public Relation Officer & Sh Dilip kumar Dora were present on this occasion.
This year IFFCO has planned to plant adequate numbers of saplings within its
premises with the active participation of employees .
