Kurukshetra, 5/6: Chairman of Jindal Steel & Power (JSP) and BJP leader Shri Naveen Jindal won from Kurukhetra parliamentary constituency in Haryana, according to the Election Commission of India. He secured 5,42,175 votes, defeating his closest rival from INDI alliance .
Shri Jindal, the newly elected MP, expressed gratitude to the People of Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency, the top BJP leadership, and the party workers for their support.
“We will all work together with and try our best to fulfil the expectations of people, “he said.
Shri Jindal is well known as an Indian industrialist, a patriot and a philanthropist. He won a decade long legal battle that gave all Indians the right to display the National Flag with honour and pride at their homes, offices, and factories on all days of the year.
He has been a Member of Parliament from Kurukshetra, Haryana, in the 14th and 15th Lok Sabha. This will be Mr Naveen Jindal ‘s 3rd term as MP ( Lok Sabha ) representing Kurukshetra.
During his tenure as MP, he also served as a Member of the standing committee on home affairs, defence, and as an executive member of the Indian Parliamentary Group. Currently, he is also the Founding Chancellor of O. P. Jindal Global University. Mr Jindal has been honoured with the Life Time Achievement Award by University of Texas .
