Bhubaneswar, 27/06/2024 In the monthly review meeting of the Rural Development department
Principal Secretary Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh has evaluated different aspects of the
projects carried within the first 100 days of the current financial year 2024-25. He
has also marked all the projects to be carried within the next 100 days without
compromising on the quality aspect even a bit .
Presiding over the meeting held at the department’s Oswan Hall in the Lok Seva
Bhavan on Thursday, Mr Singh issued clear administrative instructions that all the
projects of the Rural Development department must be completed in a time bound
manner without compromising on any aspect of quality. In a meeting attended by
engineers from all the RD divisions of the state he directed the officials to
complete all the projects under the Rural Development Department in a thorough
process.
At the outset of the review meeting, Principal Secretary Shri Singh
reviewed the execution of the projects during the first 100 days of the financial
year 2024-25. The status of the said projects and other related aspects were
reviewed. A detailed discussion was held on all the projects to be executed within
the next 100 days. Shri Singh directed the officers to speed up the construction of
the said projects. Shri Singh directed to complete every project of the Rural
Development Department within the stipulated time and emphasize on the quality
of construction.
He also asked to complete the remaining tender process with 100 percent
administrative approval, if any. Similarly, the engineers were instructed in the
meeting to inquire about the progress of the ongoing projects under the Biju Setu
Yojana in various divisions and to complete the approach roads on time.
Shri Singh directed that the on-going projects under the RIDF scheme be
completed on time and also enquired about the progress of the on going projects
in various districts under the Biju Setu Yojana and asked the officers to complete
the feasibility report, tender agreement and PCR of completed works for project
approval in a timely manner and inform the department. The Executive Engineers,
while submitting the feasibility report of the project, were directed the to examine
and submit a report on the schemes and the targets that could be met. While
observing the progress of different projects he suggested to finalize all the
projects taken up in the financial years 2022-23 and 2023-24. Shri Singh said that
the on going projects under the PMGSY and MMSY should be completed on
priority basis and the projects which were going on before 2021-22 as soon as
possible. He also instructed the officials to complete all the project processes in
the financial years 2022-23 and 2023-24 with 100 percent administrative approval.
Director Shri Subhankar Mohapatra, Special Secretary Shri Sudarshan Parida and
Chief Engineers, Executive Engineers and other senior officers were present in the
meetings..
