Lucknow, 2/7: At least 90 people, including women and children, were killed and hundreds others injured in a stampede at a religious congregation in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras district, about 400 kilometres from here, on Tuesday.
According to the sources, the number of dead could increase as many of the injured were stated to be in critical condition. Unofficial sources put the death toll at 100. The majority of those killed were women and children, sources said.
