Sundergarh:(AO Bureau) :- NTPC Dulanga marked the 78th Independence Day with great splendor, reflecting the spirit of patriotism and commitment to national progress. The event commenced with the hoisting of the Indian National Flag by Shri Brij Raj Prasoon, Head of Project, NTPC Dulanga, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem, as all employees and associate staff stood in unison to honor the nation.
In his address, Shri Brij Raj Prasoon paid homage to the bravery and courage of the freedom fighters who laid the foundation for India’s independence. He further emphasized NTPC’s significant achievements, highlighting the company’s growth trajectory with over 76 MW of installed capacity. Shri Prasoon also shared NTPC’s latest initiatives in the fields of innovation and sustainability, and provided insights into the company’s overall growth. Notably, he mentioned the record production milestones achieved by NTPC Mining Limited .
Adding to the list of accomplishments, Shri Prasoon congratulated the employees of NTPC Dulanga for their continuous excellence, as the project secured a 5-star rating for the fourth consecutive year. He also lauded the team for achieving PRCfor the second time, winning the prestigious FIMI CSR Special Award, and earning the MSA 2024 Best Stall Award in Coal Mining.
On this special occasion, Shri Prasoon recognized the exceptional contributions of employees by presenting them with Meritorious Awards, Health Champion Awards, and prizes for various competitions held in honor of the day.
Smt. Kavita Saxena, President of Prerana Ladies Club, graced the event with her presence. Alongside the members of the Prerana Ladies Club, she participated in the ‘Triveni Plantation’ ceremony, planting Badgad, Neem, and Peepal trees. This initiative symbolized the importance of sustainability and NTPC’s commitment to fostering aClean and Green India.
