Blood Donation Camp at Utkal Alumina

Tikiri/Rayagada: Utkal Alumina, a subsidiary of Hindalco Industries Limited of Aditya
Birla Group, under its CSR initiative, successfully organized a blood donation camp, which
witnessed a remarkable turnout and enthusiastic participation from employees and local
community members.
The event was inaugurated by Mr Rabi Mishra, Unit Head of Utkal Alumina, along with
distinguished guests including Sri Bhaskar Raita, OAS (SAG), Additional District Magistrate
(ADM) of Rayagada, Shri Firoj Kujuru, CRPF Commandant of Rayagada, Shri Amruta
Raoula, OAS, the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Kashipur, Shri Jagabandhu Majhi,
Sarpanch of Tikiri and Ms. Lopamudra Mishra, CSR Head of Utkal.
Shri Jagabandhu Majhi, Sarpanch of Tikiri, Shri Jadu Majhi, Sarpanch of Hadiguda, Shri
Bangari Majhi, Sarpanch of Kucheipadar along with members of Utkal Alumina Workers
Union graced the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rabi Mishra emphasized that each unit of blood has the
potential to save three lives, urging all present to participate and contribute generously.
The ADM of Rayagada lauded the initiative, acknowledging its positive impact on the
community and expressing his support for such noble causes. The BDO echoed these
sentiments, commending the efforts and encouraging more such community-driven
initiatives. Similarly, the CRPF Commandant praised the collaboration and the spirit of
giving demonstrated by everyone involved.
Ms. Lopamudra Mishra, CSR Head, extended her appreciation to all contributors and the
local communities for their active involvement. She underscored the collective effort and
commitment shown by the participants, which significantly contributes to the success of such
events.
The camp proved to be a resounding success, with 158 units of blood collected, reflecting the
strong community spirit and commitment to social responsibility that Utkal Alumina upholds.
The support from employees, local residents, and dignitaries alike underscores the shared
dedication to making a meaningful difference.
