Saiee Manjrekar marked her acting debut opposite Salman Khan in Dabangg 3. More than her performance, the actress was in the spotlight for her age. She was all of 17, paired opposite Salman Khan, who was 54 years old. The age gap between the onscreen couple sparked much debate. Recently, Saiee addressed the 36-year-old age gap and told Siddharth Kannan, “I was very oblivious to that discussion. At that time, Dabangg had just started, and I had no management. My dad is also purely an artist, and he did not do any of the things that I have to do now. So I wasn’t aware, and I was happy to see myself on the big screen.”
But over time, Saiee revealed that things stopped affecting her. “I’m a very thick-skinned person; things don’t affect me very fast. I have always been like that since my childhood. Even today, if there is praise, I will be happy, and if someone days bad, I will take note of it, and I will be happy, she added.
On the work front, Saiee was last seen in Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, co-starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu Jimmy Sheirgill, and Shantanu Maheshwari.
Recently, Saiee opened up about her journey in films and had told PTI, “Roadblocks are there in everything one does today. I look at it as a race; though it is probably not the best way to look at it. Everyone is running towards the finish line, I feel the end goal for everyone is the same, but someone might be running downhill or uphill. Everyone has a different journey but you have to live through them and experience things and see where you want to be.”
