GIET University’s School of Nursing Holds Oath-taking Ceremony for Third Batch Students

Gunupur:(AO Bureau) :-The oath-taking ceremony and lamp lighting event for the first-semester students of the third batch of  GIET University School of Nursing was held today on the university campus. The program commenced with the floral tribute to the portrait of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.
The chief guest of the ceremony was Mrs. Sebati Sahu, a National Florence Nightingale Award recipient from Nabarangpur, who administered the nursing oath to the students. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of hard work, social service, and the significant responsibilities nurses bear.
Dr. Chandra Dhwaj Panda, Vice-Chairman of the University, graced the occasion as the guest of honor. He advised the students to carry forward their journey with a spirit of service. Vice-Chancellor Dr. A.V.N.L. Sharma was also present on the dais.
The event saw the presence of University Registrar Dr. N.V.J. Rao, Dean of the School of Engineering Dr. A.V. Srinivasa Rao, and Controller of Examinations Dr. P. Vijay Kumar. The welcome address was delivered by Mr. K. Ratan Kumar, Head of the School of Nursing, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Jyoti. Faculty member Ms. T. Priyanka provided insights into the direction of the program, and Ms. Gayatri Panda coordinated the stage proceedings. All nursing students and faculty members attended the ceremony.
