Bhubaneswar: There will be medical colleges in all the districts of Odisha. Soon, the work schedule will be prepared and the work will begin. Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling made this announcement as the Mohan Charan Majhi government completed 100 days in the state today.
Now there are 11 medical colleges functioning in the state. Construction of two more medical colleges in Talcher and Kandhamal is in the pipeline. That will start functioning soon.
Apart from this, there will be medical colleges in all other districts as well. Odisha University of Health Science has signed an agreement with 6 universities today in this regard.
Through the MoU, discussions with UG, PG medical, Ayurvedic and Homeopathic doctors can be increased with all universities.
This new decision will pave way for aspirants to make advancement in the field of science, research and management.
“We are keeping an eye on the places where there are no teachers,” said the Health Minister.
