Two Maoists were killed in encounters and huge weapons recovered

Malkangiri, AO Bureau: 26.9  Two hard-core Maoists were killed in a shootout between the police and the militants in Sukauma district of Chhattisgarh bordering to Malkangiri .  After the incident, the dead bodies were taken away by fellow Maoists.  Police said that one Pressure bomb, 23 guillotine rods, 32 detonators, 29 BGLs, 6 knives, one hand grenade, 3 arrow bombs, promotional masks, batteries, flashlights, notebooks and other daily items were seized from there.  In less than 2 days, Sukuma Police, DRG, Bastar Fighters, 206 Cobra Battalion, 241 CRPF forces jointly carried out a Cumbing operation near the Chittlana  police station near the  chintabagu river.  At 3 o’clock in the night, the insurgents opened fire on the arrival of the police.  In response, the jawans also opened fire.  The police suspect that 2 Maoist were killed in the exchange of fire. The police have suspected this from a circumstantial position.  Later, the Javanese seized the above items during a search operation in the area.
