Sundargarh, 29/9: The Hasya Kavi Sammelan organized under the Official Language Hindi Fortnight at NTPC Darlipali concluded with enthusiasm and appreciation. This event was organized by Rajbhasha – Human Resources Department, at Konark Auditorium located in Shubhrajyoti Nagar Campus on 28 September (Saturday). The Kavi Sammelan started with lighting of lamps and NTPC song. The poets invited to the program were Suresh Albela (International Humor Poet) from Kota (Rajasthan), Sudeep Bhola (International Humor Poet) from Delhi, poetess Mumtaz Naseem (Shringar Ras) from Aligarh (UP), Gyan Hota, Oriya Humor Poet, from Cuttack (Orissa), Devendra Natkhat, International Humor Poet, from Jhansi (UP), Virendra Vidrohi, National Poet, from Lalitpur (UP), and the responsibility of conducting the stage was taken by Dr. Shankar Saharsh, Narsinghpur (MP). The audience enjoyed the Kavi Sammelan till late night, and Konark Auditorium echoed with their laughter and applause.
When Sudeep Bhola, who had come from Delhi, sang the song ‘Kachcha Badam’ in his own style, the audience burst into laughter, while Suresh Albela, who had come from Kota, recited couplets and Shayaris in his Rajasthani style, while Oriya poet Gyan Hota also made people laugh a lot. The poems of poetess Mumtaz Naseem touched the hearts of the people.
On this occasion, Shri Ram Bhajan Malik, Head of Project (Darlipali), in his address, appreciated the activities related to the Official Language Fortnight celebrated by the Official Language Department and emphasized the importance of organizing such events regularly.
