Laxmipur (Koraput): There has been a truck-bus collision in Koraput district of Odisha said reports in which several passengers have been injured. The bus collided with a truck carrying bamboo.The accident took place under the train bridge at Dumuripad under Lakshmipur police station, Koraput. It was reported that the two drivers were trapped under the road. The injured passengers were rescued and admitted to the hospital.According to information, a private bus named ‘MSSB’ was going to Rayagada from Jaipur this morning. At this time, there was a head-on collision with a truck coming from the opposite direction.Further, 2 to 3 ambulances have been deployed to take the injured passengers to the medical center. The fire brigade reached the spot and started rescue operations. While the bus driver has been rescued, the truck driver is still trapped. Police are present at the scene. It is estimated that there were 60 to 70 passengers in the bus.
