Puri Srimandir Senior Supervisor attack: Pantibadu Sebak suspended

Puri: The Chief administrator of Srimandir Puri have suspended Pantibadu Sebak Chandan Samantara from all duties of Lord Jagannath after his alleged involvement in the attack of the senior supervisor of the temple with a sharp weapon last evening.As per Jagannath Mandir Act 1955, 21 B (A), the suspension order has been issued and entry of Samantara into the Srimandir and within sanctum sanctorum has been prohibited.The Chief administrator have also warned that action will be taken against those who are found guilty in this case and any kind of misbehaviour and disorder inside the temple will not be tolerated. He has thanked everyone for their kind co-operation in this case.Yesterday, senior supervisor of Puri Srimandir Baxi Ramchandra Pratihari was reportedly attacked with sharp weapon near the Paschima Dwara (West Gate) of the shrine as he asked a non-servitor not to sell Rabidi at the Anand Bazar of the Jagannath temple as it is a violation of the temple norms.Pratihari was immediately rushed to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for medical aid.
