Cyclone Dana aftermath: 10 villages still remain flooded

Nilagiri (Balasore): In a cyclone Dana aftermath, as may as ten villages in Odisha still remain flooded. Rain in the state continues to affect people in Saturday. There is an evident risk of flood after the cyclone.According to reports, flood waters have been witnessed in the Son river in Nilagiri area of ​​Balasore district. Due to the impact of the cyclone, it was raining throughout the day on Friday. It is possible that this flooding has been witnessed  after the release of water from the Kala Dam in Mayurbhanj district.More than 10 villages have been flooded following this. Begunia to Totapada connecting road has been washed away. As a result, communication has been lost. Now more than 10 villages like Totapada, Samsapal, Dobati, Narsinghpur and Domkandra have been marooned after the flood water rushed in and the roads were washed away.However, due to the impact of cyclone ‘Dana’, heavy rains are continuing in different parts of the state. Heavy rains will continue as the cyclone has stopped but heavy rainfall continues. The Regional Meteorological Department has issued an alert to various districts regarding possible rain.
