Capital Hospital will soon have 40 ICU beds

Bhubaneswar, 19/11: In a major development, Capital Hospital will soon have 40 ICU beds. This was informed by Capital Hospital Patient Welfare Committee Chairperson and Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Shadangi. Now Capital Hospital has 16 ICU beds. It has been decided in a meeting of the Patient Welfare Committee that 24 new ICU beds will be added soon. Some important issues related to the hospital were discussed in the meeting of the Governing Committee of the Patient Welfare Committee sitting at the Capital Hospital today. According to the MP, 1,432 dialysis cases are coming to the hospital every month. Currently, as many beds as there are, dialysis is being done in 3 sittings per day in each bed. It is planned to increase it to 4 per day. That means dialysis will be done in 4 sittings. Similarly, it has been decided to hand over the closed Mission Shakti Cafe to SHG women. Along with this, the R&B department has also been told to speed up the slow progress of construction work at the hospital. However, the meeting discussed how to provide proper patient care when the number of patients in the daily hospital is increasing. The meeting was attended by Bhubaneswar MPs, Bhubaneswar MLAs, Khurda District Collectors and senior officials of the hospital.
