IMD predicts low pressure over Bay of Bengal, may intensify to cyclone in 48 hours

Bhubaneswar: A cyclonic circulation has developed in the Southeast Bay of Bengal predicted the Indian Meteorological Department, Bhubaneswar. It will further intensify and turn into a low pressure over Bay of Bengal area tomorrow. It is likely to make a landfall on November 24, 2024.The low pressure may take the form of a cyclonic storm in the coming 48 hours informed the IMD. If it turns into a cyclonic storm it will touch the Tamil Nadu coast on November 29. The cyclonic storm will have no impact on Odisha. However, changes in the weather can be predicted up to November 26.On the other hand, the cold wave in Odisha has set in from around November 13, 2024. The night temperature is seen dropping in most of the places in Odisha up to five degree Celsius. As the temperature drops, winter chills can be felt in all over Odisha mostly in Central Odisha.In the coming five days, there will be no much change in the prevailing weather. The weather is expected to be mostly dry. However, in one or two places the temperature may rise. It is expected that in many districts, foggy weather is expected.The lowest temperature recorded in K. Udayagiri is 6.2 degree Celsius. Other lower temperatures are recorded inSimiliguda in Koraput at 8.1 degree Celsius,Phulbani at 9.5 degree Celsius,Daringbadi at 10.5 degree Celsius
