Shrikant Shinde dismisses speculation about him getting deputy CM’s post

Mumbai, 2/12: Quashing reports he was keen to take up the job of Shiv Sena’s Deputy Chief Minister in the new MahaYuti government in Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde’s son Dr Shrikant Shinde said he did not take up a ministry in the Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the Centre after Lok Sabha polls as he wanted to work for the party.

Thirty-seven-year-old Dr Shrikant Shinde, an orthopaedic surgeon, is a three-time Kalyan MP of the Shiv Sena. Ever since the results of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly came out, his name was doing rounds for the No. 2 position in the BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP government.
