Scooty seized with ganja , accused person absconded

SUBARNAPUR, 6/12 — It is seen that every day Ganja is being smuggled to other districts and states through Tarva block area of Subarnapur district. Yesterday (Thursday 5th) Tarva police station sub-inspector Marut Chandra Pradhan along with Kamsara Beat house officer Gajanan Behera, constables Narayan Bhoi, Prakash Dharua, Narayan Bhanja and Shakti Bhesara were patrolling the major Sighari area while searching for any ganja near Sighari High School. Got the news from reliable sources. So the police team went to the place and found ganja in one place.On seeing the police team, a person who was there left the ganja and scooty and ran away. The police reached there and seized 5 jerry bags of ganja and a No. OD 03-AC- 3808 brown colour scooty and brought it to the police station. The said ganja was weighed at 69 kg and 600 grams in the presence of Additional Tahsildar Diptimayee Bhue , who was in charge of the Magistrate. Police have found that the said scooty belongs to Jitu Suna of Junani village of Tarva police station. IIC Anita Kido stated that if Jeetu Suna is found to be the accused after investigation, IIC Anita Kido has assigned the responsibility of investigation to SI Lambodar Dang.
