Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), in yet another allegation, has claimed that the Russian embassy in Canada facilitated the assassination of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar by sharing “signal intelligence” with Indian officials, CNN-News18 has learnt. The organisation has also offered $25,000 to “track” Russian ambassador Vladimir Sevastyanovich Stepanov in Canada and Indian Ambassador Vinay Kwatra in the United States.SFJ founder Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has claimed that “Russian President Vladimir Putin’s support to PM Narendra Modi’s India against pro-Khalistan Sikhs is death knell for Russia”. He added that Kwatra, in coordination with Stepanov is running a surveillance and spy network in US and Canada. The secessionist group has claimed that Russia facilitated the assassination of Nijjar by providing “signals intelligence” to Pavan Kumar Rai, the RAW head in Canada, who has since been expelled by the Justin Trudeau government.Giving a call against the “Russia-India terror nexus”, SFJ announced a reward of $25,000 for providing tip on any upcoming public engagements of Kwatra and Stepanov.“Pro-Khalistan Sikhs are going to question Indian and Russian ambassadors on their role in violent attacks on pro-Khalistan Sikhs on Canadian and American soil,” Pannun said. The SFJ claimed that the Russian embassy in Ottawa hacked Nijjar’s Telegram account in May 2023 to facilitate India in tracking his movements, resulting in his assassination on June 18 at Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara, Surrey. Simultaneously, they said, the Russian agency hacked Pannun’s Telegram account and shared location and movements with RAW officials in planning the since-foiled murder plot.In December, US Security Firm iVerify, in its report, revealed that Pannun’s smartphone had been a target of sophisticated spyware which is tracking his location and daily movements.Top intelligence sources said Pannun was speaking the language of Canada and US because of the ongoing diplomatic crisis.“He is a global terrorist and soon, more will be shared with all the countries protecting him. He is trying to provoke youth in India born after 1984 to work against India and settle abroad so that he gets fees as an attorney,” they said.
