Jharsuguda, Odisha, December 24, 2024, Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, under its flagship Agni Jagruktainitiative, recently organized a fire safety training programme at Panchayat High School and GP High School in Jharsuguda. The programme sought to equip students and staff with essential fire safety knowledge and practical skills, further reinforcing Vedanta’s commitment to enhancing community safety and resilience.
The training session was conducted by Vedanta’s safety team and was attended by more than 300 enthusiastic participants, including students, teachers and support staff. The session focused on emergency response protocols, safe evacuation procedures, practical demonstrations of firefighting techniques, and fire prevention measures, ensuring a holistic understanding of fire safety practices.

The training received an overwhelming response, with participants actively engaging in discussions and demonstrations. This initiative is a testament to Vedanta Aluminium’s dedication to promoting safety and well-being within its communities, and under this initiative, more community outreach will be conducted across the district to further enhance safety awareness and preparedness.
