Gujarat: While the case of Chetana who died after falling into a borewell in Rajasthan, is still fresh in the minds of people a similar incident has come to light in Gujarat today.According to reports, a girl has fallen into a 540 feet deep borewell in a village in Gujarat’s Kutch district. Rescue operations are underway to bring her out from a depth of 490 feet. Surprisingly, the girl is 18 years old.Reports further said, that the incident took place at around 6:30 am on Monday in Kanderai village under Bhuj taluka in Kutch district. Meanwhile, Bhuj Deputy Collector AB Yadav said that the girl belongs to a migrant worker family from Rajasthan.After this incident, the family informed the local authorities. After hearing about the girl of so many years falling into the borewell, the officials initially doubted her age. However, on Monday afternoon, Collector AB Yadav informed that it was confirmed with the help of a camera that the girl had fallen into the borewell.After this, the Army, NDRF and BSF teams reached the spot and are continuing the rescue operation to save the girl. They are continuously supplying oxygen to the borewell and monitoring the girl. Currently, the girl is in an unconscious state and efforts are on to bring her out, the official said.
