Angul, 07th Jan: As a part of Road Safety Week Jindal Steel and Power (JSP), in collaboration with the Odisha State Government, organized a two-day “Eye Check-Up and First Aid Training” camp at the Transport Nagar, Phase 2 truck parking area situated at JSP campus. The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Nikhil Pattnaik, Road Transport Officer of Angul district, in the presence of JSP officials and staff from the logistics department.
The camp provided free eye examinations and spectacles to nearly 500 drivers, addressing their visual health needs.
Additionally, drivers received essential First Aid training, equipping them to respond effectively in emergencies and potentially save lives.
This initiative of JSP aims at enhancing road Safety by improving drivers’ vision and emergency response skills, saw participation from around 1000 drivers and local transport representatives. It underscores JSP’s commitment to community welfare and safer transportation in the region.
Programme Dristhi has provided free medical care to 12028 no of Truck Drivers for examining and rectifying their vision.
At its Angul location alone, JSP has provided 4987 no spectacles free of charges to the trucks drivers based on the findings of the medical examination .
