Tikiri/Rayagada: Dt.10/01/2025: Demonstrating its commitment to community
welfare and social responsibility, Utkal Alumina (Plant CSR Team) a subsidiary of
Hindalco Industries Limited of Aditya Birla Group organised Blood Donation Camp in
association with Rayagada Blood Bank at Nuapada Township Club House premises
on 10 th January 2025 under its CSR initiatives. The camp was conducted smoothly
and total of 58 units collected voluntarily from the donors and handed over to
Rayagada Blood Bank.
The event not only served as a platform for voluntary blood donation but also helped
raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donation in saving lives and
supporting patients in need, especially during challenging times.
The blood donation camp adhered to all necessary safety protocols and guidelines
issued by the health authorities, ensuring the well-being of all participants. Medical
professionals and support staff were present throughout the event to oversee the
donation process and aid where require.
Sri Rabi Narayan Mishra (Unit Head & President) of Utkal Alumina, and Mrs.
Lopamudra Mishra, Head of CSR led the efforts of the team in orchestrating the
event, ensuring its success and smooth operation.
Sri Rabi Mishra expressed his gratitude towards all the donors and volunteers who
contributed to making the event a grand success. He emphasized the significance of
such initiatives in saving lives and fostering a sense of unity and social responsibility
within the community.
Among the dignitaries present at the event were Dr Janmenjaya Das ( Medical
Officer-Kashipur-CHC) Dr Gautam Patnaik ( Medical Officer-Blood Bank), Mrs
Bangari Disari( Sarapanch -Kucheipadar), Sri Jadumani Majhi( Sarapanch-
Hadiguda), Sri Jagabandhu Majhi(Sarapanch-Tikiri) Sri Siba Sankar
Mohapatra(Cluster CSR Head, Sri Bijaya Kumura-Head-HR, Col Paramjit Bajwa (
Head Security & Admin) , Mr Vijay Chauhan ( Mines Head), Mr. Pitambar Behera,
Head-PR, Mr Subas Naik ,Mr Gajendra Naik, Mr Kartik Sahu, Mrs Satyabhama Naik
from CSR encouragement added value to the cause and inspired more individuals
to participate in the noble act of blood donation.
