4 Hard-core Maoists surrender to police, each carrying Rs 8 lakh

Malkangiri: As many as four hard-core Maoists had a change of heart and surrendered to police. They were carrying a bounty of Rs 8 lakh each. They surrendered to the Malkangiri border in Narayanpur police station of Chhattisgarh district.According to information, the hard core Maoists belonged to Dwasi cadre informed Narayanpur SP. They were each carrying a bounty of their head.“Inspired by the post-surrendering policies of the police, the hard core Maoists took this step. They were involved in many violent attacks of the Maoists,” said SP in a press meet. He further said that,” all kinds of help will be done by the police and district administration to bring these Maoists to the mainstream.”Few days ago 13 Maoists had surrendered in front of police. Out of the Maoists who surrendered two women are present. Among them are the bodyguards Munna and Sukharam of top Maoist leader CCM Udaya.  They were carrying a bounty of Rs 5 lakh on their head. As an encouragement, they were given Rs 25,000 each.
