Temperature in Odisha to remain in 11°C-13°C range especially in twin cities for seven days

Bhubaneswar: The IMD has predicted that the night temperature will stay between 11- 13 degree Celsius in the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar in the next seven days. In the last 24 hours, the temperature in Odisha’s major cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack dropped to 12.3 degrees and 12.4 degrees respectively. It is expected to remain the same in the next few days. G. Udayagiri, recorded the lowest temperature at 6 degree Celsius. Trailing behind are Phulbani and Daringbadi at 8.5 degrees Celsius and 9 degree Celsius respectively. Thick blanket of fog was seen in Koraput, which reduced the visibility below 50 metres this morning. Dense fog was seen in Phulbani. Moderate fog was visible in Rourkela and Bhawanipatna. Hirakud and Gopalpur witnessed shallow fog. IMD also predicted dense fog at parts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Sundargarh and Koraput districts. Shallow to moderate fog may occur at one or two places in Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh, Keonjhar and Jharsuguda till January 20 morning. It added that there will be no large change in the night temperature during the next 4-5 days.
