25 injured in road accident in Karnataka, as vehicle overturns

Belagavi: In a shocking incident as many as 25 people have been injured in a road accident in Karnataka as a vehicle carrying them overturned on Friday morning. According to reports, more than 25 people have been injured after a goods vehicle carrying MGNREGA workers were heading for work, overturned. The accident occurred on the outskirts of Hosur village in Hukkeri Taluk, on the state highway in Karnataka. The goods vehicle lost control while trying to avoid a Bullet bike. The injured have been admitted to BIMS Hospital for treatment informed the Belagavi SP Dr Bheema Shankar Guled. Further detailed reports awaited in this matter. On January 22, in a tragic road accident in Karnataka, ten people were killed and 15 injured after a truck carrying them crashed. The accident took place at Arebile area in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka. According to reports, the victims were travelling to Kumta market from Savanur to sell vegetables. The injured were rushed to the nearest hospital, said the police. The victims were told to be vegetable sellers who were travelling to Kumta market from Savanur to sell vegetables when the truck they were travelling in toppled and fell into a 50-metre-deep valley. Following the information police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital.
