Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a man set himself on fire in Karnataka following a family dispute said reports on Friday. It has been alleged that the man and his wife were living separate since some time.According to reports, the 39-year-old cab driver namely Manjunath allegedly died by setting himself on fire outside his estranged wife’s home. It has been further alleged that, there have been disputes between the man and his wife and they were staying separate.The wife namely Nayana Raj had filed for a divorce. Manjunath had come to Nayana Raj’s house several times earlier as well and had asked her to not divorce him and that he would not fight with her again, he used to shout standing outside her house.
Yesterday however, Manjunath went to her house in the morning and Nayana Raj refused to open the door. Angered by this, Manjunath returned to her house at 11 pm and allegedly set himself on fire. Manjunath’s mother has filed a complaint and raised suspicion about her son’s death. It is worth mentioning here that Manjunath and Nayana Raj have two sons.The investigation is underway by the police. S Girish the DCP of West Bengaluru confirmed the incident and informed that the police is investigating various aspects. Detailed reports awaited in this matter.
