Angul: In a shocking incident, miscreants chased and attacked a youth with sharp weapon on the road in broad daylight in Angul district of Odisha on Monday. The incident took place near the Pathana Sahi Chhaka in Angul town. The victim youth has been identified as Partha Pradhan of the Sunakhai Sahi in Angarabandha area. The accused persons are from Ghunchapal area of Kurdulu Panchayat. As per reports, miscreants came in three bikes to attack the Partha when he was having tea at a tea stall near the Pathana Sahi Chhaka after returning from the gymnasium. After seeing the miscreants as he tried to run away from the scene to save himself they chased him on the road and attacked him with sharp weapons. They have attacked on his two hands and chest. Following the incident, the victim youth has been rushed to Angul district Headquarter hospital for treatment. The reason of the attack is said to be past enmity. The two friends of the victim narrowly escaped the attack. After getting information Angul Police reached the spot and initiated investigation. Further investigation of the case is underway.
