Puri: In the incident of snake biting a student during a cleanliness activity in Poparanga Government Primary School, the Headmistress has been suspensed and the class teacher has been transferred by DEO. The Headmistress in-charge has been suspended and the class teacher stands transferred in the incident of the student death by snake bite in Puri district. On Monday during a cleanliness activity at Poparanga Government Primary school in Puri district a snake bit a student who died on the spot. The student was studying in Class 4. According to information, the class teacher had punished the child for not completing his work. As a punishment she asked the child to clean the grain storehouse of the school premises. During cleaning a cobra came and bit the child killing him in the spot alleged the family members. Following the allegations of the family members, the District Education Officer (DEO) intervened and suspended the Headmistress in-charge and transferred the class teacher.
