JSW Steel, Odisha organizes road safety awareness programme

Barbil, 3/2: In celebration of 36th National Road Safety Month 2025, JSW Steel’s Odisha mining division organized a series of road safety awareness programs throughout its mines over the course of the January month.

Recently, a similar awareness event was held at the Bhadrasahi office, delivering crucial road safety messages to participants. The event united all stakeholders, drivers, and employees to promote responsible driving and increase awareness about road safety.

An awareness rally was held on Bhadrasahi Road with the slogan “Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha”, led by the Head of Security, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Choudhary.

During the rally, JSW Steel Odisha mines division Business Head Mr. Prasanna Panda and Mines Operation Head Mr. Ram Shankar Sharma felicitated drivers who were adhering to traffic norms, including wearing helmets and seatbelts. Those who were not following the traffic norms were kindly requested to comply for their own safety.

Additionally, a nukkad show on road safety captured the attention of local people, illustrating the consequences of not adhering to traffic rules and emphasizing the importance of compliance for everyone’s safety.

An on-the-spot quiz competition was also organized for the drivers, motivating them to adhere to the rules.

On the National Road Safety Month, Business Head Mr. Prasanna Panda emphasized, “Accidents don’t happen by chance; they occur due to a lack of awareness and negligence in following traffic norms. Therefore, it is our duty to follow the rules and raise road safety awareness, not only in our mines division but also in our community.”
