Bhubaneswar, 4/2: In a recent development, Sri Kedar Ranjan Pandu has joined as Managing Director OPGC on 03rd February 2025. A Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from CET, Bhubaneswar and M. Tech from IIT, Delhi, Sri Pandu has over 39 years of experience in Power sector and he has served in NTPC Ltd. from 1986, where he joined as Engineering Executive Trainee and superannuated as Regional Executive Director, South Region. During his long years of Experience, he has served in various capacities at NTPC in different plants like, Badarpur, Dadri, Talcher, Vallur, Darlipalli, Ramagundam. Apart from serving at various plant locations he has also served at CEO, NTPC Tamil Nadu Energy Ltd., CEO, Meja Urja Nigam Ltd., Regional Headquarter at Bhubaneswar and Hyderabad and also at NTPC Corporate Office, New Delhi.
During the tenure of Sri Pandu 2 units of 800 MW supercritical Units of Telangana were commissioned, which were inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister. His efforts in Energy Efficiency systems has yielded significant results the testimony of which is the “Economic Times Energy Leadership Awards 2024”. He has been conferred with “CII Energy Efficiency Award-2024”, “Clean Energy Ministerial Insight Award-2023”. “APEX India Leader CEO of the year award 2024” which is a testament of his decades of dedication, innovation, careful work and Contributions in the area of Power sector and HR.
He was welcomed by Sri Gagan Bihari Swain, Director (Finance), OPGC and other senior officials of OPGC on his arrival at Corporate Office, Bhubaneswar
