Malkangiri AO correspondent Date:-04/02 In the much-discussed case of death of former District Magistrate Manish Agarwal’s personal Assistant, Malkangiri Hon’ble SDM issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against the then District Magistrate Manish Agarwal and three others. Malkangiri SDM has issued this decision in the case of death of the then District Magistrate’s personal assistant Deba Narayan Panda. According to information, Deba Narayan Panda, the personal assistant of the then District Magistrate of Malkangiri, went missing under suspicious circumstances on December 27, 2019. A day after the disappearance, the dead body of Deb Narayan was recovered from the Satiguda water reservoir in Malkangiri his wife Banaja Panda had filed a complaint against the murder of the personal assistant Deba Narayan. A case was registered in this regard and while the case was under trial, Manish Agarwal and his associates were not appearing in court after repeated summons. After appearing in the Malkangiri court, then the High Court and then the Supreme Court, now the Malkangiri SDJM court has issued non-bailable arrest warrants against Manish Agarwal and his three associates for trial despite repeated summons by the court. However, due to the delay, Malkangiri SDJM has issued non-bailable arrest warrants against all of them.
