Several schools in Delhi NCR receive bomb threats, investigation underway

Delhi: Yet again several schools in Delhi NCR region received bomb threats on Friday, said reports. As soon as the threats were received, the school authorities informed the police. According to reports, Ahlcon International School in Mayur Vihar Phase 1  was one of the several schools of Delhi-NCR region that received a bomb threat today Later Delhi Police said that, nothing abnormal was found. The bomb disposal squad of the East district along with SHO Pandav Nagar and PS staff, reached the school. The school premises were thoroughly checked. Guardian of one of the children at the school told ANI, “School administration is saying that school is closed today, and the classes will run online. They told nothing, but I think it’s because of the bomb threat.” Recently on January 23,  a Mumbai school received a bomb threat via email. The school authorities immediately informed the local police station. The police reached the spot and initated an immediate action. According to reports, a bomb threat email prompted an immediate security response at a school in the Jogeshwari-Oshiwara region of Mumbai. The local law enforcement and explosive detection personnel conducted a thorough investigation of the premises informed the Mumbai Police.
